Women's sexual health issues are often related to menstrual cycles, sexual activity, infections, birth control methods, menopausal changes, or changes after pregnancy. Symptoms may include a lack of desire, difficulty becoming aroused or pain during sex. Treatment of female sexual problems varies greatly due to the wide range of possible symptoms and causes. Women with sexual concerns often benefit from a multifaceted treatment approach.
Pelvic floor muscles support the bladder, bowel and the uterus. They prevent incontinence (leakage) of bladder and bowel, prolapse and are also important in sexual function.

There are several sexual health issues that can affect men and interfere with a satisfying sex life, including erectile dysfunction, problems with ejaculation, and testosterone deficiency.
Pelvic floor muscles support the bladder, and bowel. They prevent incontinence (leakage) of bladder and bowel, prolapse and are also important in sexual function. Urinary incontinence is common during aging and after a prostatectomy procedure. Increasing the strength of these pelvic floor muscles can decrease the resulting leakage and improve a patient's quality of life.
